What do I need to bring and what
is provided?
Once you've registered for a program, you will receive
a comprehensive packing
list, most of which you'll find you already
have. Included in the list is some specialized gear
which you may not own. We recommend that you buy
these articles so they fit properly. However, if
difficulties arise in locating them or affording
them, please contact
us. If we can help in any way, we will. As for
everything else, just leave it to us! We pride ourselves
in having well-maintained tents, canoes, packs,
stoves, water filtration equipment, and complete
traveling kitchens.
What will I be eating?
One thing we always do is eat well. A delicious,
well-balanced menu will satisfy your hunger and
your taste buds. Special dietary needs and allergies
are always taken into account. Menus can be customized

Who might I meet on these trips?
Our clients are from Canada, the United States,
and abroad. The common thread of an adventurous
spirit, the desire to have fun, and a willingness
to embrace challenge is what joins them together
as a teammates. No experience is necessary, although
some of the more physically challenging trips do
require a moderate level of fitness.
Is it safe?
While it is impossible to eliminate all hazards,
or to guarantee against all risks, (especially since
not all risks are foreseeable), be assured that
safety is first and foremost on our minds. All of
our team members receive specific 6-Rivers Wilderness
training and possess basic First Aid and CPR certifications.
In addition, many of our facilitators have Advanced
Wilderness First Aid and rescue training, as well
as certifications in specialized outdoor activities.
Staff-to-client ratios vary depending on the program,
but there are never less than two staff members
per trip. Typically, there are more than two staff
members in order to ensure that all our clients'
needs are met.
